I made Drews awesome background effect in Dirkels now.
I cleaned up the code a bit, and made his effect easyer.

I am still tweaking the new AI.
But it goes alright. I guess it is about finished now.
Soon I will replace one Balderit Quest, with a better one.
And I will delete 3 off-quests. And I will increase the xp of the Balderit Quests.

So, you only do off-quests because of the gold. (and more xp ofcourse)

Removed 2 quests.
Designed the new Balderit Quest I am gonna replace for a stupid Balderit Quest.
Instead of killed 3 Balderits, you got to save a man from a cage, and escort him to Master XYZ.
He will also fight with you.

But, you can't walk with him out of the room, that would be silly lol.
Because then you are overpowerd, since he does damage too.

Made the quest!
You will accept it first, then your quest log says you got to save him.
You walk towards the given location, and you see the dude in a cage.
You talk to him, he walks out, and starts following you. << quest log automaticly gets updated
You simply walk to the dojo, and when you are close, he says like "there it is!". << haven't made text yet
Then you turn the quest in. I only have to make that when you come in the dojo, you see that guy there too...

I tested the game on a old computer.
And guess what! NO lag at all this time.
I am so happy ^^

Anyway, I also fully tested the game again.
So with the removed quests, and the new quest, and the improved xp.
It was all very nice.
The 5% drop of the apprentice Balderit. (the Balderit Chest)
dropped 3 times :) I was lucky. And, in the Balderit Dungeon.
The normal Balderit Head dropped.
So, here is be looking exactly like a apprentice Balderit:
Week 9 - 01/03/10 - 07/03/10 Basicbalderit

The last boss dropped the Golden Bandana.
Then I tested the Balderit Dungeon again, played Hard modes.
(didn't survive xD, but turned dying off)
And then the golden Chest dropped. So here I am, looking like Baldir + a cape + the sword of Charles Cutthroat:

The game is really fun, now totally with that quest replacement.
This is what I replaced this week:
- Kill 3 Balderit Quest, replaced for breaking someone out a cage, and bring him back to the dojo.
- Destroy 3 notes from the Balderits, original you had to walk far, but now they lie closer together.
- Removed 2 delivery quests
- Removed a quest where you had to kill 2 Berserk Balderits.
- Removed a quest where you got to get a hammer from the Blacksmith, and return it to someone.

Don't worry, there are still alot of quests.
17 total now. (and only 3 of them are simple deliveries)
More are coming! (a few)

Made the Hard Mode boss fight 'a tiny bit' easyer.
Because, if I cant even beat him without losing all health, it will be TOO hard for everyone.
I can beat him now, but it is still VERY hard :)

I finished a new AI, the one of the 'swampBEAST' not monster.
Swampbeast is like a slug, but then cooler. Swampmonster is like a dirkel.
Anyway, this AI, it simply jumps very high, and does damage when it hits you.
It is hard to beat, because it is hard to hit him. He is quite fast, and jumps =]

Remember that list I had?
I still work like that, test the game, write all the things I got to do down...
Then do them, cross out what I done.
That list, now has 67 things to do, I already done 60 of it.
I got to do:
#42 Saving and Loading (inc dying)
#43 Make leveling magic possible
#44 Atleast one Achievement for next release
#47 Design atleast one level of the Swamp
#49 Going from Grasslands (wetlands) to The Swamp with a teleport.
#52 Battle-Mage AI. A Swampmonster, who uses magic, and if mana is down, attacks with sword.
#67 Riding on a Grigator as Taxi

Most of these things are really a bother.
Like, Saving and Loading, got to write ALL the important variables in a file. (there are alot!)
And leveling magic, then I got to change a part in the magic script, and make a new argument for 'element'.
So he knows what element he is leveling.
Others arent too hard, I know how to make the Mage AI, but it takes long to make. :\ Im lazy.
Grigator is hard too btw :\

Made a NEW list. Other one was too big/messy. (almost 2 pages)
Now I got 9 things on the list. (added some, like, write out the Swamp Story, and design the attack on Tildaer)
I will start with all the designing and writing now, so
I can work more easy, not having to think what quests comes.

School exams and stuff.

Anyway, today I made a start in the Achievement system.
I got a nice idea of how you show the actual achievement.
But it will be hard to make.
Right now it gives a error.
But I guess I fix it tomorrow.

Made a little something in the GM05 Engine.
I am planning something different then was discussed...
I make a topic about it when I got the engine done.'

Made a Bridge in the Swamp.
Looks very awesome.

Designed the Swamp more.
Added some Swamp Beasts
And fixed the transporter from Wetlands-The Swamp

Also, about the list, finished 2/9.
Oh and those achievements... its really hard to make :P
But I will make it :)

When I wrote that of above, I suddenly knew what to do!
Now its finished. Or, almost finished.
Look, first you see a small square in the achievements. This one is brown.

Then, when you hold your mouse on it, a balloon with the description is there.
Too bad that the mouse gets removed when you make print screens.
