Morning
Worked on Dirkels again.
Baldir Bloodaxe, now has an hand with axe.
The axe had some bugs, but its fixed now.

Ruden the Warlock is made too.
He stands in the room, somewhere on a platform above.
He will just say things + trow skulls.

Still have to make that though.

Afternoon
Cool! I made a big part in the last battle!
I made a new script engine, for the boss to speak. (different engine as at the sub-boss)
Now there is a big conversation between Ruden and you.

When the conversation end, I made that Baldir Bloodaxe, start
attacking you.

I also fixed some bugs in the room teleporting.
There was a bug in the instance. Fixed now!

I made a nice idea for the sub-boss.
Maybe charles cutthroat trows some knifes in the air.
(and you have to dodge them)
This puts some more effect in the fight.
Otherwise his fight is just boring.

17/02/10 - Worked 4 hours straight (maybe more =O)
Dirkels
I started with making the boss fight further.
I made that Baldir Bloodaxe, can rotate his axe now.
There were some problems, errors, but after a while, thats fixed.
After a few tests it was too hard to dodge his attack, so
I made it a but easyer.
Now he does damage, and you got a little time to escape his attack.
(when the animation start, you got half a second to jump back)

After this all, I started working on the Grigator.
The Grigator is COMPLETELY finished now.
His head attack looks inredibly awesome thanks to Drew.

You guys can also see screens I made during the making
on the screenshot catogary.

GM05
I made a few improvements.
Like, a monster follows you now, and he attacks with space.
The enemies are improved now, they track better.
They also dont have smooth collisions with theirselves now, and soon
I make the same thing with walls. (so they wont get stuck in them or anything)

The attacking was quite hard to make btw.

The Site
I improved to DC alot.
The Random catogary is better organized now.

I made a BIG change in the engine.
I also putted the monster out.

Now it is way cooler
4 man follow you. (in a line)
And you can shoot.

I made a change in the 'quest' of killing the Balderit Boss.
You can also like finish the quest now.
So, if you kill the boss. (wich is impossible for now, lol)
you can turn the quest in.

I also let my sister who is 6 years old play the game.
And she killed Balderits (ofcourse she died, but you cant die yet in the game)
while she had a quest of killing 3 balderits.
She killed 4, and with 4, you cant turn in the quest.

So, I found this other small bug. (easy to fix)
I am happy I found it, otherwise when I released it you guys
would have that problem.

I fixed the bug that you can't turn the quest in when
you killed more then needed in a quest.
Had to change this to all killing/gathering quests, but its fixed now.

Baldir Bloodaxe gets dazed now, when he finished his rotating attack.
When you hit him then, you do 4 times the normal damage.
This will be the basic way to beat him.
(also, he is dazed for like 2 seconds, so you dont have much time to hit him)

I made a sprite, what rotates above the head of Baldir when he is dazed.

Fixed ALOT of bugs in the movement + axe rotation of Baldir.
I tested it alot, and it is bug free now.
I also putted the engine of talking during a fight in Baldir Bloodaxe and Ruden.
But I need some texts for it.

Ruden now also casts skulls.
Now he casts is 66% when Baldir is done with rotating, but I will make
it that when Baldir's life is 50% he will say something like:
"You are wasting my time. I will finish this quickly."
And then he uses the attack more often. (so in the beginning not)

I... I think I finished it!

Alright, so, i edited the skulls alot (the way they move)
And they now do damage and stuff.
They also do damage to Baldir, so if you really got skills, you can let Baldir get hit.

Ruden talks during the fight now.
He also starts attacking with skulls at 70%.
At 50% he attacks with 3 skulls instead of 2.
At 30% he attacks with 4 skulls.
At 10% with 5 skulls. (epic)

At 35% Ruden says something like "Baldir, lets hurry up!".
And then Baldir goes faster when he uses spinning attack.
So, the tactic to dodge his attack then, is to lure him to the right side,
then run to the left side when he is spinning. (so he wont reach you)

I edited some details in the boss fight.
He also now takes 5 times the normal damage when dazed. Instead of 4.
I've also made that Ruden says something before he leaves.
So, after the fight, Ruden says something, then he dissapears.

After Ruden dissapears, Master XYZ runs in the instance.
And he talks to you about what happened.
After this you gain alot xp, and he asks you to visit him in his dojo.
(You will visit him, and he will say that you should go to Tildaer City)

Fixed a bug in the "lieutenant" quest.
Where you had to hit the Balderit Lieutenant untill he talks.
(this is seen in the trailer)

Fixed alot of bugs + I tested the game again.
- Master XYZ wont be in his house at the same time as he is in the hide-out.
- Master XYZ will be next to the hide-out if you want to accept the quest.
- The door in the hide-out wont slap open and closed all the time. (It was really spooky when I saw it)
- Master XYZ wont look at you when he walks towards the door. (looked silly, walked backwards)
- No error pops up when you use magic to hit the Lieutenant in the Blacksmith.

You can actually deliver the quest that you killed the Balderit Leader now.
He gives you alot xp.
(I was level 3, and he leveled me up to level 5)
(so, normally, you would be level 7 when fighting the leader, so you probaply gain a whole level, or 2/3)

- Started on a Grigator quest.
- Fixed a BIG bug where Baldir gets stuck in the wall during spinning.
- Baldir does NOT jump anymore. (that was not the problem btw, but I just done let him jump again)
- Made a new item + edited an existing item sprite

I found 4 bugs, gonna fix them now.

Bug 1: Fixed!
There was a great bug in the Baldir Bloodaxe AI.
Like, the was standing inside you all the time. (and the picture freaks out then)
He also calculates where he collides now better.

Big bug in the Grigator Quest.
You got to gather 2 Grigator skins, but if you got mroe then 3 in your bag.
He destroys all 3! I only want him to destroy 2.
Its something with the code... I figure it out tomorrow with Botyto. (a great coder)
I go to bug #3 now.

If you drink potions, you cant get above your max health.
Stupid bug =P (same for mana)

I edited all the stats.
You now, when you level up, get 3 auto-stat points.
So, 3 stats, will be put in automaticly.
Next to that, you get 3 other stats to put in yourself. (so you can specialsize in something)

Fixed the Grigator quest bug on an easy way.
He just doesnt drop anymore skins then 2 now. lol.
I fix the script tomorrow though.


I am kind of done now, I could like release it,
but I make a few more quests to make the leveling between
level 5-8 easyer.

Oh and I still have to do the talking with Master XYZ, that he says that you should go to Tildaer City.
