Week 8, Dirkels will hopefully be released end of this week,
and if not, it will be week 9. (release date of Dirkels comes this week, but I cant promise anything)

Finally!!!
Thanks to Botyto, a great, great programmer, we managed to
fix the bug in our script.
The bug was that, when you deliver the quest where you needed 2 Grigator skins.
And you had more then 2, he removed ALL skins (when you delivered).
I wanted that he just removed the 2 who were needed.
And we fixed that now ^^.

I worked this half hour straight, and I done alot!
- Grigators give more xp now.
- When you killed the Balderit Leader, all the Balderits wont attack on sight anymore
- Made a new quest about the Grigators (2 Grigator quests atm)
- Added new enemies + items in Grasslands 1, and 4.

Enemies respawn now!
Animals respawn earlyer then humanoids.
So, Slugs and Grigators will spawn in 10 seconds.
But others will spawn in 20 to 25 seconds. (depends on strength, hard to fight enemies respawn in 25 seconds)

Fixed a bug in the newest Grigator Quest.

Fixed something in the first Grigator Quest.

Thomas Thief now acts more like a boss.
He also talks during the fight, like Charles did.

There is a higher level cap for the Grigator quest now. (so you need to be a higher level)
I also made a new quest,
where you got to find the necklace of someone.
But, this necklace can be from any Balderit in Grasslands 4.
They have a drop rate of 20%

Made "the Live of Aldezar - Volume I"
in Aldezars Castle now.
It is really exciting, you should read it!

Drew finished a request of my where the important
characters have their own sprite. So, you will
recognize Diuky or Aldezar when you see him.
I edited the sprites a bit, and put them in the game.

"The live of Aldezar - Volume II" lies in the castle now.
I also made that you can enter the castle 'again' after you've been
there in the beginning.
(you should enter it again, if you want to understand the story better)
(there will probaply be a secret note on the end of the castle when you enter it the second time)

These books of Aldezar will also come in the library in Tildaer City. (because they are important)

Fixed some things in the 2 Books of Aldezar.
I also made an lightning effect.

Fixed 2 bugs, and I added "The live of Aldezar - Volume III" in the castle.
I will now make 2 notes, who are hard to find.
But there are some deep story related things on them.

I epic phailed on the battle-light effects.
So, I will do something else now.

I tested Dirkels, and it turned out, when you play it easy,
the time you play is very long. I didnt even read anything, and I quit 80% of the game,
and it took me already 40 minutes of gameplay.
And since I will add around 3 more quests, that there is around 1 hour to - 1 hour and 30 minutes gameplay
on the next release. (but im not sure of it)
Anyway, I found 9 bugs/glithes/thing to do, and fixed them all.

In Dirkels I want that you dont have to grind enemies to gain xp.
I want that you reach the level you need by doing "only" quests.
So, you dont have to kill anything extra.
Turned out, that with the current quests, you are stuck at level 5, then you got to grind to level 6,
then you can do 3 Grigator quests, who bring you on 70%, then you got to grind again, and THEN you can
do the Balderit Dungeon on minimum level.

So, from now on, it is easyer to gain levels. (I made the max xp a bit less)
And I will add 3 more quests. 1 for levels 3-4.
And two or maybe three for levels 5-7

Added 1 new item, and added 2 new quests.
Both for level one or two. (or higher)

Made a new quest.
For the level 5-6.
This quest is just a delivery quest, you need to go
to the camp in Grasslands 3. So, you know that there is a camp there.
Also, in this camp, I already made a quest that you got to go to the camp in Grasslands 4.
So, during quests, you visit all the camps.

Added more items.
Apprentice Balderits have 5% to drop a normal Balderit Chest.
Higher Balderits have 5% to drop a Iron Balderit Chest.
Thomas Thief has //Balderit Bandana 54,5% //Iron Balderit Bandana 36,4% //Iron Balderit Chest 9,1%
Charles Cutthroat has //Balderit Bandana: 25% //Spiked Bronze Short Sword: 50% //Iron Balderit Chest: 25%

So, you can already get the full Iron Balderit Set.
The final boss will drop one of the "gold" balderit sets.
The Chest of the Gold Balderit set is better then a Bronze Cuirass.

I tested the game fully, 2 times.
I found 14 bugs, thing to do, or glitches.
And after that, I got to do atleast 7 more things. And then
it is possible to atleast release a closed beta.

I now will solve every bug, glitch, but mostly something I got to do, and cross them off the list I made.
Also, the Gold Balderit Set isnt in the game yet.
But during the leveling, I was on the end level 8, and I looked like this:
Week 8 - 22/02/10 - 28/02/10 Looks

The chest is a very rare drop of a regular Balderit.
The cloak is just something I bought. (30 gold, you start with 50g, so it is easy to get)
The bandana is a drop from Thomas Thief in the Balderit Hide-Out. (he can drop better though, I didnt get it)
The sword with the points on it is a drop from Charles Cutthroat, in the Balderit Hide-Out.
(Best thing he can drop, quite big drop chance)

Lol I look like a Balderit, but then with cape.
Also, as you see I dont have a shield.
And I am not planning on letting shields come in the next version.
Shields will be something on higher levels.
Or maybe there drop one shield in the "swamp instance". (next instance)
But that it has a very low drop rate. Like 5%

From the last edit, I striped out 14 of the 21 to-do things.
The hardest one was number 14.
It was AGAIN some very strange bug in the AI of Baldir Bloodaxe.
But it is alright now, and the fight is way more cooler now.
(he can jump again!)

I am planning on making 'hard modes' in this boss.
Like, in the instance, you can trigger something, and put hard mode on.
What makes the boss way more faster.

I made a new list,
with the previous things, but also some new things.
I have to do 6/28 things, and then its finished.
So, I already striped out 22/28!
Most of the things before this, were fast edits.

But now, the 6 I got to do are very hard. Or, atleast they
take a while to finish.
Like right now, I got to edit every quest, and edit the quest system,
so that you also get money rewards from quests.

Great,
I was fixing number 28 on my list,
"books in Balderit Hide-out".
But during that, I found 5 more to put on the list.
Right now, I fixed 24/33 :\

Tested the game on an older computer.
I also found 2 more things on the list.
I also fixed some on the list.
I finished 27/35 now. 8 left...

I added more to the list,
but I also fixed alot.

Did number 37 of the list. Made the damage of the bosses,
count on your max health.
So, at high level, the boss fights are just as exciting as on lower levels.

Fixed 37/40 now.
3 more to go, I cant do number 40 till sunday, because I had this code
for it, but I left it on my computer at home.
The other 2 I got to do are:
#36, Add Hard modes to the instance
#14, Ending talk with Master XYZ

Did number 36, you can now kill Baldir in Hard Mode...
Prepare to bring some potions!
(first time I did it, I died when he was 30%)
He has way more speed, and a bit more damage.
The anoying part is that Ruden casts WAY more skulls.
On the end he 'can' spawn 11 skulls. But thats only at 10% or less.
Before that it is around 8 skulls, what is hard to dodge already.
Ofcourse you can try to let the skulls hit the enemy.

You can only activate Hard Mode when you have done the instance
once already.
So, the seondtime you enter it, you see Ruden the Warock somewhere,
and he asks you if you want to fight your enemy on max strength.

Did #14, Master XYZ's last conversation about the Balderits.
At the moment I only got one thing to do, but I cant do that till sunday.
But, I just figured I got to do 2 more things, VERY important.
#41 - Saving, Loading, and health when saving.
#42 - Dying
Its boring to do, but I will finish it now.

I thought I finished it,
turned out the game freezes when you load.
I think the only option is to make a different load system.
But, then there is a big chance people can open it, and change things in
it, like your statpoints, or level.

A guess what! I dont ONE room-to-room transition more.
I got to do 2x this again.

Made a new AI, this AI will come on the Swamp Monsters.
The AI is more advanced then the Balderits.

Extra Features in Balderit AI:
- Jumps around the player sometimes, to avoid attacks

Extra Features in Swamp AI:
- Jumps around the player sometimes, to avoid attacks
- Dodges to backwards to avoid a attack
Future Extra Features:
- Hits when you are unguarded/at a point of not able to dodge.
- Charge in battle

The AI is not all I done today.
I designed a part in 'The Swamp'.
And, I came up with ideas of improving the Balderit Quests.
(I will improve one, and delete some offquests)

I also made a dead-effect.
Its again like in Dirkels Alpha. But now much more awesome.
